Bollards in tube form have been used for centuries. The R&D team from Perimeter Protection Group initiated a new methodology and entered a completely innovative path of delivering a new perimeter security solution.
For the new bollard design, the R&D team were inspired by the biomechanics of nature, particularly the shark tooth, and incorporating it into a new bollard design – City Protector (M40 and M50)
The City Protector is the newest security solution within the bollard system category that offers a zero-penetration capability. The zero-penetration distance is an incredible result that made this perimeter security solution beyond comparable to the other security bollards within the high-security market. The City Protector passed the impact almost unscathed with complete destruction of the vehicle.
SHALLOW FOUNDATION
Every millimetre in the foundation depth counts when it comes to choosing the right perimeter solution. City Protector can deliver this requirement as it both only requires a shallow foundation depth of only 220 mm. This is particularly important, especially in inner cities, where pipes, underground garages, and other structures run underneath the road surface.
This type of bollard makes it easier to carry out construction projects and lower the cost of excavation activities.
EASY TO MOUNT
The City Protector offers an easy assembly capability. During the product development, it was ensured that this bollard can be assembled and disassembled manually through a one-man operation. This means that heavy machinery such as cranes or forklifts are no longer required in assembly procedures.
INDIVIDUAL DESIGN AND STREET FURNITURE
Our City Protector offers a multi-layered structure and can be customised in colour and shape. This unique feature makes this impact-rated solution adaptable to the cityscape. The integration as street furniture invites the citizens to interact and thus helps to increase the acceptance of employing crash-rated barriers without compromising the site aesthetics. Popular designs that can be applied to these solutions are benches, planters, bicycle racks, rubbish bins, and more.
